What is the modern purpose of a signet ring?
I have seen signet rings on sale and would like to know the modern use for them.I know that in years past they were used as a form of signature and were often used with ink or wax.Are signet rings just for a design or style and serve no purpose?
sometime show allegiance to group or society
or presented in aknowledgement for service
