Religion question: What is a Freemason?

please dont use wikipedia or whatever

please tell me what YOU know freemason to be.. i heard they gather in secret meetings, dont believe in Jesus yet use the bible and have a handshake,.. but i dont know if any is true?

freemasonry is a fraternity. its members are members of various religions but most are Christian (some are Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, etc...)

they study morality, as taught in the Bible to make themselves better men and they provide more charity than any other group on the planet.

this is what i know, i am a freemason, have read hundreds of books and thousands of articles/websites.

to some others;

* Orthodox is confused... freemasons do not worship anything as they are a fraternity... if you worship satan you cannot be a freemason. Hall wrote his book 30 years before becomming a freemason, it is not authoritative and in any case only represents his own, personal, uninformed opinion of freemasonry (Hall admits his only contact was through books, because he wrote his text 30 years before joining freemasonry)... I know the Shriner in the video! --- he knew the interviewer was an anti-mason and is playing with him....

* Cheese is also mistaken, DC is not laid out in any masonic pattern, freemasonry is not outlawed in England; only 14 Presidents were freemasons Ford being the last... ugh...

* rabdomne... freemasonry was NEVER satanic, the golden dawn is not related to freemasonry - there were freemasons who joined golden dawn as well, but there is no connection between the two.
